Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
I am thrilled to announce myself as the new principal at Maxson Middle School. My name is April Morgan, an educator with over 20 years of experience and a solid background in instructional leadership. My unwavering dedication lies in developing teachers to provide the best possible opportunities for our students, understanding that every student can excel with the appropriate support. I am committed to ensuring that the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student are met.
I aim to create a learning environment that nurtures collaboration, critical thinking, and essential life skills, preparing our students for future success. By engaging and challenging our students, we will unlock endless opportunities for their growth and development. In addition, I am devoted to establishing a robust support system for the mental health and social-emotional development of all our students. I am genuinely thrilled about the prospect of contributing to the success of our students within our district.
Throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, Maxson Middle School is thrilled to introduce the "Leader in Me" framework to our students and staff. This K-12 framework is designed to nurture student leadership, build a culture of trust, and improve academic performance. We are confident that this holistic approach will enable our students, educators, and staff to realize their full potential. We are eagerly anticipating a successful school year with the integration of this framework. Our school-wide objectives are aimed at prioritizing student academic success, striving to boost student attendance, and fostering a supportive school environment that strengthens connections with students and families, focusing on the entire school community.
