Dear Students and Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to complete our recent survey. Your feedback is crucial in helping us understand what is working well and where we can improve. We truly appreciate your insights and suggestions, as they play a key role in shaping the future of our school. We are committed to using this feedback to make positive changes and continue creating an environment where all students can thrive.
We are proud to celebrate our success in the following areas, where Maxson performed strongly:
Parent Survey Highlights: Parents expressed that they feel their child’s education is a top priority at the school. They appreciate the genuine care and concern demonstrated by the teachers, staff, and administrators for their child's well-being and development. Many parents also shared their pride in being part of the school community and having their child enrolled there.
Student Survey Highlights: Students conveyed that they believe their learning is valued at the school. They enjoy participating in special programs and electives, and they feel that the school provides them with ample opportunities to succeed and grow academically.
These results reflect the hard work and dedication of both our staff and students, and we are thrilled to see such positive feedback. We are committed to continuing our efforts in these areas and building on this success.
The survey also identified areas for improvement where we must work together to enhance the experience at Maxson. Some of these areas include:
Parent Survey Areas of Growth: Parents noted that they would appreciate more consistent communication from the school regarding their child’s progress and how they are performing academically. Additionally, they feel that the school could have a greater positive influence on their child's overall development. There is also a desire for more frequent positive interactions from the school, such as receiving encouraging messages or updates about their child's achievements.
Student Survey Areas of Growth: Some students conveyed a lack of excitement about attending school each day. They also expressed a desire for more respect among students, highlighting the importance of kindness and positive interactions in the school environment. Furthermore, students shared that they think the school could benefit from improvements in cleanliness.
We are committed to addressing these areas and working collaboratively to improve communication and support for our students and families. Your continued feedback will help guide our efforts in making Maxson an even better place for learning and growth.
We are committed to the following next steps to address the areas of growth.
Regular Communication with Positive Feedback.
Establish a routine for sending bi-weekly or monthly updates on students' academic progress to parents, highlighting achievements and areas for growth.
Implement a system for teachers to send positive notes, emails, or make phone calls to parents about their child’s success.
Parent Engagement:
Organize events that showcase student progress and allow parents to engage with the school.
Share information about school programs and their impact on student growth through newsletters, emails, or webinars, helping parents understand the school’s influence on their child’s development.
Regularly collect feedback from parents via surveys or focus groups to ensure their needs are met and improve communication strategies.
Next Steps for Improving Student Experience:
Work to Improve Culture and Climate.
Organize fun activities like themed days, spirit weeks, and extracurricular events to make school more engaging and enjoyable for students.
Involve students in decisions making on school initiatives geared at engaging students.
Creating a Positive School Culture with The Leader in Me:
Inspiring Vision and Goal-Setting: Empower students to set personal goals and build a clear vision for their future.
Encouraging Respect and Responsibility: Foster an environment where respect is a core value and students take ownership of their actions.
Teaching Active Listening: Ensure students and teachers actively listen, understanding each other’s perspectives.
Developing Effective Dialogue: Promote open, honest conversations between students, teachers, and parents to address concerns and build mutual respect.
Conflict Resolution: Equip students with strategies to resolve conflicts peacefully and constructively.
We are committed to working collaboratively with you to improve communication and support for our students and families. Your continued feedback will help guide our efforts in making Maxson an even better place for learning and growth. We greatly appreciate your partnership in making Maxson a place where all students can succeed and grow. Thank you for your continued support!
